What is the building that is seen next to the Hollywood sign?
In various images of Hollywood sign, there is a kind building next door. Does anyone know: a) the name of Building B) the function c) any other information it receives concerning. Thank you very much!
It is the city of Los Angeles Central Communications Facility. It's just a building service that supports all radio, telephone cell towers and microwave used by LAPD, LAFD, LA Unified School District, and agencies of other cities. As it is centrally located which held direct access to all parts of Los Angeles (both the city and the Central Valley) is a perfect place for those towers. The building itself has no name and is just filled with electronics. Nothing exciting. Basically not much more than a building maintenance for large antennas.
