Steel Building Manufacturers

Need help with a word problem algebra?
Hi everyone. Here the word problem: A manufacturer wants to build a reservoir rectangular stainless steel with a holding capacity of 500 gallons, or approximately 66.85 cubic feet. If the steel is half an inch think that is used for the walls of the tank, then about 5.15 cubic meters of steel is required. The manufacturer wants the external dimensions tank to be connected as follows: The width must be less than one foot length. The height should be nine feet longer than the length it should exterior dimensions of the tank be? How do I create an equation for this? Also, I seem to have trouble finding the zeros for this problem. Power someone show me step by step how to do?-2x ^ 6 = 16
outside volume V = internal volume is LxWxH 66.85 cu.ft. cu.in. = 115,516.8 volume of steel = 5.15 cu.ft. cu.in. = 8899.2 also W = L – 12 L + H = 108, all are in inches. External dimensions: L inch, W and H po po and steel volume = area * thickness or (LW + 2 (L + l) H) * 0.5 = 8899.2 or LW + 2 (L + l) H = 17,798.4 … ……………….( a) Put W = L – 12 and H = LL + 108 (A) L (L – 12) + 2 (L + L – 12) (L +108) = 17798.4 giving 5L ^ 2 + 396L – 20,390, 4 = 0 ……………….( B) (B) calculate L, W = L – 12, H = L + 108 you get out of the dimensions in inches. then confirmed by the interior volume (L – 1) (W – 1) (H – 0.5) = 115516.8
